Two dudes and a car – the true origin story summed up in five words. If that doesn’t sound cliche, it gets even better. 

The founders, Andrew Johnsen and Nick Valenta, were golfing in August 2021 discussing other business and playing one hell of a round (admittedly, Andrew was winning). On the eighteenth hole, and probably to distract Nick from a comeback surge, Andrew brings up an idea he had been toying with to start an exotic car rental business. Nick jumped in as Andrew was explaining and agreed it must be done as he had also been exploring this idea. In fact, he had a brand ready for the endeavor. With Andrew’s investment management and strong operating background and Nick’s private equity and creative agency expertise, Oro Reserve was born. 

Fueled by passion and the perfect partnership, Andrew Johnsen and Nick Valenta navigated how to invest in the right fleet, how to set up the optimal legal structure, and how to ensure adequate risk management measures were in place. 

After that, they were ready to start Oro’s engine. Their first purchase was a Porsche Targa 4 GTS, which rented so frequently that they quickly added to the fleet four months later and haven’t stopped since.

This is a story of the American dream, and two dudes simply wanting all others to live life and enjoy the finer things by experiencing Oro Reserve.

THE MISSION

The love triangle of a road, a vehicle, and a driver is one that will forever be an unexplainable experience, until you get to experience it. Your hands gripping the wheel, your foot feeling the power of the engine roar through the car as it sparks a combustive reaction that launches you forward, all while listening to a song that makes you feel as if you are the star in your personal movie; what is better than that?

We respect art and love exhilaration. To us, cars and food are the best forms of art because they are immersive and both are experienced everyday. Both a beautiful car and a flavorful meal can take you on a journey that results in sensory overload. 

While we started with cars, we hope to grow our passion project of a business and ultimately provide Dallas with a true world class experience. We hope Oro can serve as a place that promotes all forms of immersive art. Cars will always be the main showpiece of the facility, but we plan on inviting our Oro renters and other friends to join us for monthly meetings of the minds where we will bring in renowned chefs, have globally acclaimed art on the walls, and foster a community of friends bound together by a love of art that one can see, smell, hear, taste, and feel. 

Until then, we will remain the gold standard in luxury car rentals.

FAQs

What is the cancelation policy?
All sales are final. Once a reservation is confirmed, payments are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, we will issue a credit for the full amount paid that can be applied toward a future rental. This credit allows you to reschedule your experience while preserving the value of your original booking. Please contact our team as soon as possible so we can assist with arranging your future reservation.
Is auto insurance required to rent a luxury or exotic car?
All renters must carry full coverage auto insurance that includes both comprehensive and collision coverage. Before you can drive the vehicle, your policy must be verified. This protects you, the vehicle, and the integrity of our fleet. If you are unsure whether your policy qualifies, our team is happy to review your coverage and guide you through the process before booking.
Do you require a security deposit if I want to rent an exotic car?
Yes. A refundable security deposit is required before the vehicle is released. Deposits typically range from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the vehicle selected. The full amount is returned after the vehicle is inspected and confirmed to be in the same condition as it was at the time of pickup.
Does Oro offer hourly luxury car rentals?
We do! We simply require a 6 hour minimum. Pricing varies by vehicle. Reach out to us for more information.
Does Oro offer memberships?
We have four options for membership with two options in two tiers. Tier 1 provides access to our cars under $250,000 in market value and Tier 2 provides access to all cars under $500,000 in market value.
How does the membership work?
You can pay a monthly fee and based on the tier and option within that tier, you will have a private booking platform to utilize for priority bookings.
Can you rent out my luxury or exotic vehicle?
Of course! Just contact us and we can help guide you through the process of renting your vehicle out through our company.
Do you offer insurance?
No, we do not provide insurance. You must have your own full coverage auto insurance policy.
What payment methods do you accept if I want to rent a luxury or exotic car?
We accept all forms of payment methods including all major credit cards, debit cards, wire transfers, and cash.
Where are you located?
We are based in downtown Dallas, TX. We will provide our location to you once your booking is confirmed.
How old do you have to be to rent a luxury or exotic car?
You must be 18 or older to rent a vehicle.
Are the cars manual or automatic?
All of our vehicles have automatic transmission. Many also have paddle shifters which are very easy to operate. If you have any questions or concerns we will happily give you a driving tutorial.
Can there be multiple drivers if I rent a luxury or exotic car?
Yes, each additional driver must be over the age of 18 and must provide us with a valid driver’s license and full coverage insurance. We do not charge a fee for additional drivers.
Can I drive my rented luxury or exotic car anywhere?
Yes. Vehicles may not be driven beyond a 25-mile radius of our designated location without prior authorization. If you anticipate traveling outside this range, approval must be obtained in advance. This allows us to ensure proper coverage, vehicle tracking, and scheduling accommodations. Please notify our team ahead of time so we can review your request and make the necessary arrangements.
How many miles comes with the rental of a luxury or exotic car?
Reservation mileage is 80 miles per 24 hours. Hourly rentals are prorated mileage. Anything over has an additional cost which varies by vehicle starting at $5/mi. Reach out to us for specific per mile pricing.
Can I prepay for extra miles?
If you are looking to rent and know you will go over the mileage allowed, please tell us in advance. We will gladly accommodate prepaying for mileage.
How many hours are included in a daily luxury or exotic car rental?
24 hours. We also offer 6 hour and 12 hour bookings.
I'm under 18 and need a nice luxury or exotic car rental for prom. Can someone else rent it for me?
Typically, no. All drivers must meet our rental criteria. However, if you would like to arrange for a parent/guardian to drive you or our Chauffeur service, we’re happy to accommodate.
What happens if I get a ticket while I’m driving the car?
The renter is responsible for all tickets and violations issued while the vehicle is in your possession. The renter is responsible for any and all penalties, fees, towing charges, and impound costs.
Do you rent luxury and exotic cars to international visitors?
Yes. Vehicles are available to rent to international visitors provided they have a valid passport and driver’s license from their home country. Full coverage auto insurance is still required.
Do you ship your luxury and exotic vehicles to the renters?
Yes we do. We will deliver and pick up vehicles upon request via a closed flatbed truck or one of our drivers will drive the car to your location depending on the distance from our location. Cost varies depending on the distance of the delivery. Reach out to us for specific pricing quotes.
Do you ship vehicles outside the state?
Yes, we offer delivery outside of the state. Transport pricing varies depending on delivery location.
Can I rent a luxury or exotic car for one day on the weekend?
Yes, you can book 6, 12, or 24 hour rentals. Make your reservations in advance to guarantee your vehicle reservation.
Can my rental be delivered early / late?
We will always try to accommodate if we receive advanced notice.
Can I leave my personal vehicle at your facility?
Yes. There is parking for personal vehicles at our location.
